Flov'

When, in March 2020, we were told we couldn't go out any more, FLOV' felt a compelling need to create a world of colour, to paint, to escape.

So she decided: 'I'm going to paint pictures that feel good'.

In her search for freedom, she came across a quotation from Matisse that she took as a personal message: 'Colour above all, and even more than drawing, is a liberation'.

Inspired by nature, she uses acrylic paint, which she works with a brush, a knife or any other object that helps her to express her emotions on canvas. She can add graphite, ink or chalk to suggest relief.

She lets herself be carried away by the gesture, creating intuitively, letting herself be guided by the colours and contrasts. You could say that she lets go, so she follows her emotions and lets the colours express themselves.
