Originally from Nevers, Thierry Blandin worked for 40 years as a freelance sound engineer in Paris and in many countries for film, television and music.

These years of travel and encounters around the world have been a great source of intellectual enrichment, open-mindedness and inspiration.

An offbeat, sound, luminous and connected art

My paintings alert us to technological developments. I evoke excessive consumption, the evolution of urban and industrial landscapes, and the technical progress that is beyond us. The technological objects I collect are at the heart of environmental issues and are valued. They become material for creation. I make observations or take stock of the situation, sometimes with cynicism and derision, in a form of modern poetry, especially when I animate my creations with light and sound.
