Joan Llaverias, a catalan painter with a familial artistic tradition, was trained at Barcelone’s Fine Arts School.
He is an abstract painter inspired by the informalist moves of the 20th century and was selected in 1998 by the Pasarte Gallery in collaboration with the Revue Universitaire as one of the thirty promising talents of Spanish contemporary art.
