Biography
Narome, born in 1975, wrote her name on the walls of her towns as a little boy. He loves beautiful letters, writing and the messages they convey. He grew up in the techno years, rubbing shoulders with street-artists in party dreams; develops his graffiti and his dough.
Working for 10 years in the cinema, he creates entire sets for big French films. Recreating a cosy little school from a farm, or a luxurious Haussmannian hotel in an abandoned hangar.
Narome, an inventive creator, likes to make things from scratch, imagining and trying to bring life to them.
In his painted works, he accentuates the intensity and strength of words with colour, whether it is finely deposited or splashed on the canvas. The black and white are sober and above all intense. The colour, as for it, graphic brings nuance and complexity to his works.
What he expresses is what he feels around him with paint or collage. He makes portraits of men who inspired him, forming only their shadow. Telling that he does not want to forget them. These tools are the bomb, acrylic, podcasts but also newspapers and posters. His first works express anger and anarchy and yet he always makes them with these two little girls playing around him. His future projects would be to make large series. He is an artist in perpetual search of improvement and change.
