L'Insecte

L'Insecte is a French artist born in 1986.

Coming from the world of graffitti, L'insecte is a big fan of typography, particularly of the old school graffitti letters from the 90s. Using simple and refined lettering, effective and readable to everybody, he transmits poetic messages, often complaining about todays' society.

He paints mostly on the streets, in empty lots, wastelands or abandoned houses, which he particularly likes, he usually includes a message about the place he discovered. His work is based on recovery, he does not hesitate to "get out of the box" by adding diverse materials to his pieces, whether it is raw wood, rust or other objects.
