Biography
Simcha Even-Chen is a contemporary sculptor living and working in Israel.
The artist works with paper porcelain, a porcelain with an added 0.5% paper fiber, giving her sculptures a dynamic and organic form.
During the final firing, the material sags and deforms, allowing the artist to discover the random results of her sculptures. The fluidity of the forms and their vivid colors give the sculptures a sensation of lightness and the illusion of a soft material.
