Biography
PIRO is a visual-urban artist, graduated from the Complutense University of Madrid.
He lives and works in Madrid although his work often takes him abroad.
The artist started on the street with graffiti. At the same time, he refined his studio techniques by mixing various watercolors and acrylic paints. He persevered until he managed to unite these two opposing techniques in a unique style. The result is a style full of life and color, which ranges from the warmest red to the most electric turquoise. PIRO then, quite naturally, knew how to bring the delicate techniques of watercolor to the street world. And they apply wonderfully even to the exterior walls, which have so little to do with the paper and canvas on which he produces his most delicate works.
His work is based on improvisation, where the aggressiveness of the spray and the delicacy of watercolor mingle on all supports. The artist creates works where the fluidity of the water and the volatility of the spray fill with expression and light a world that takes us on a journey from figurative to total abstraction.
