Biography
Richard Perry's artistic approach focuses on shape and the material, and how they both interact with space and light. Planes, lines, surfaces and voids all come together creating an elegant and solid balance, characteristic of his abstract shaped sculptures. His creative process is experimental, alternating between intuition and premeditation, guiding him towards the creation of contemporary sculptures with geometric or organic shapes. The artist's monumental sculptures, made for public commissions, have won him multiple awards. His works are part of institutional collections such as those of the British Museum (London), the EDA Garden Museum (Tokyo) and several local public administrations.
