Biography
Jim Gleeson is a San Francisco based artist and teacher. Known for brightly colored images of San Francisco that are popular with locals and visitors alike, Jim is expanding his visual lexicon. The new work featured on this site is a departure from realism. The work is bold and brightly colored but much more abstract and painterly in nature.
Inspired by the artists Richard Deibenkorn, David Park as well as local artist Henry Jackson, Jim is venturing into the world of Fine Art that is based on developing a personal style. Drawing on his experience as a sucessful artist
