Biography
Anna Kara graduated from the Erevan Fine Arts school in Armenia and continued her studies at the Abovyan pedagogical institute.
Anna Kara recreates classic painting by capturing vanities. Her recurring themes are finiteness, life's fragility (skulls, hourglass...) become a part of a contemporary universe. Her work plays around with death and life, euphoria and melancholy, humor and insolence....Her skulls become vernal, death becomes casual...conflicts and classic canons emancipate.
Anna Kara exhibits in prestigious spots like the Art Fair in Grand Palais, Paris, the Pierre Cardin espace and several other galleries. Her work has been awarded several times, especially the Mérite Culturel Français, silver medal.
