Ever since childhood, I have loved creating images and objects from very little: painting on crates salvaged from markets, sewing soft toys, embroidering on various fabrics, collecting odds and ends and putting them together, creating jewellery, painting.

About fifteen years ago, I rediscovered collage, which I had experimented with in my youth. More than painting, it gives me the freedom to give shape to the mental images and sensations that pass through my mind. I use all kinds of paper and materials: photos, tissue paper, pieces of posters, paper left on the ground, scraps of fabric, twigs...
It is first and foremost colour and texture that catch my eye. Depending on the light of day, my dreams at night, what I have been reading... I let the associations come to me. I act without a plan. Once the structure has taken shape, pastels and pens can be used to complete the collage.

Art and nature nourish me, they allow me to breathe and dream. They undoubtedly guide my hand.
