Biography
Bernard Rives's sculptures are very refined. The forms and curves are fluid and elegant, they highlight the beauty of gestures and movements. Women's bodies are often represented, magnified and depicted nude. His second favorite theme is the animal world. Elegant races, his sculptured animals are rarely static, but on the contrary, they are portrayed with energy.
Bernard Rives exhibits regularly in France and overseas. In 1983, he won the first prize at the Paul Ricard foundation, when he had just begun his career in sculpture.
