Discover "Conversation II" at Galerie Feng Shang (Reims): When Art Transcends Borders Galerie Feng Shang in Reims invites you to dive into a bold artistic dialogue with "Conversation II," a unique exhibition bringing together two talents with intersecting backgrounds: **Cécile Girard**, a French artist steeped in Chinese culture, and **Han Qi**, a Chinese artist trained in France. An encounter where cultural exchange, gender contrasts, and the fusion of identities create a captivating visual symphony. Two cultures, one passion. Cécile Girard, after years of living in China, integrates an Asian sensibility into her artistic practice, blending French finesse and oriental symbolism. Han Qi, a graduate of the Beaux-Arts de Tourcoing, brings a Chinese perspective reinvented by his immersion in European contemporary art. Their works, both personal and universal, question the boundaries between East and West, tradition and modernity. A gendered and poetic dialogue Man and woman, China and France, abstraction and figuration… Their creations interact, exploring the dynamics of gender and identity. Cécile deploys organic installations evoking the body and intimacy, while Han Qi sculpts architectural forms where rigor and emotion intertwine. Together, they question stereotypes and celebrate diversity. The exhibition is accompanied by two texts by renowned art critics: • Weiyang Li, a Taiwanese curator, wrote the text for Han Qi, highlighting the depth and complexity of her work. • Thierry Delcourt, a French psychiatrist, wrote the text for Cécile Girard, exploring the nuances and influences of her artistic practice. This collaboration embodies the very essence of artistic and cultural exchange, offering visitors an enriching experience that transcends geographical and cultural boundaries.
