Gilles Gourmaud

Self-taught, photographer for more than 15 years and after receiving three distinctions for his work, he turned, always with photography as a medium, towards artistic creation by producing photographic abstractions.
Working in Sarthe, Gilles Gourmaud is a tightrope walker photographer oscillating between shadow and light.
His demanding eye for images makes every moment of his life a tireless desire to capture the incandescence and clarity of what surrounds him.
Although his attraction to abstractions is very strong in his artistic choices, his quest for sincerity, humanity and his sensitivity to light also leads him towards photographic staging, architecture, portraiture and landscapes.
