Edoardo Monteforte or Eduardo Monteforte born in 1849 in Polla, Province of Salerno and died in 1933 in Naples was an Italian painter.
He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples with Achille Carillo and Gabriele Smargiassi, painting bright terrestrial and seascapes. He painted in both oil and watercolor, and was very prolific. In 1877 in Naples, he exhibited: on the Sunday of October to Pompeii; and two watercolors entitled: On the Beach and Winter. In 1881 in Milan, he exhibited Parco Spinelli, The Return of Fishing and The Return of Sorrento. At the 1883 exhibition in Milan, he presented the fresco Vento, Marina Sorrentina and Costa Sorrentina. In 1884 in Turin, he exhibited The Return of Fishing; Monte Scutari and Mattinata for the woods.
After a trip to Egypt, he painted many Orientalist subjects, including A sera per l'Alto Nilo, Tomb of the Caliph in Cairo, exhibited in 1898 in Turin
