Seffar Adil

Adil Seffar is a Moroccan artist based in Marrakech. He began his artistic journey in 2019 as a way to cope with personal struggles and emotional pain. Self-taught, Adil uses acrylic paints and mixed media to create abstract expressionist works that are rich in color and emotion.

His paintings often feature faces, eyes, and shoulders, symbols that carry deep stories and reflect his inner feelings. Adil's process is driven by intuition, layering paint and allowing the artwork to evolve with each stroke, while standing and embracing unexpected moments of inspiration.

Adil draws inspiration from modern expressionist artists like Francis Bacon and Egon Schiele. For him, art is an act of rebellion against isolation, a way to connect with the world and say, "I exist, and this is how I feel."
