Inspired by Mason Storm

Mason Storm is a British artist known for his provocative works that address the hypocrisies of the modern world with humor. His work makes reference to famous pieces from art history, such as Johannes Vermeer and Caravaggio. He also incorporates contemporary references into his work that juxtapose with these canonical references, such as visual elements taken from pop culture, films and TV. A self-taught artist, Storm works in a variety of mediums, such as sculpture, print and painting. His artistic style ranges from realistic to flat, cartoon-inspired painting, sometimes incorporating both extremes into one artwork. 

Storm chooses to hide his true identity by wearing a balaclava. As well as preserving his anonymity, these masks have become one of the artist's trademarks due to their interesting designs and designer brand logos. This anonymity is not the only way that Storm has placed himself in relation to famous street artist Banksy – he also encouraged rumors that he works for Banksy as an assistant. In addition, Storm produced a series of works titled “Monkey Parliament," implying that he is the real creator behind Banksy's famous 2009 work Devolved Parliament.
