Objets décoratifs
Les objets décoratifs sont généralement de petits articles tridimensionnels d'une qualité incroyable. Les pièces appartenant à la catégorie des objets d'art peuvent être fabriquées à partir d'une grande variété de matériaux. Il s'agit de petites sculptures, d'objets en métal, de plaques, de figurines, de sculptures en ivoire, d'objets en verre et d'un large éventail d'antiquités : petites horloges, montres, boîtes en bois, etc.
Le terme d'objet d'art est assez large et flexible, car il inclut souvent des œuvres qui n'entrent pas dans les autres catégories d'art telles que les peintures, les (grandes) sculptures, les éditions ou les dessins d'art. Néanmoins, il est important de distinguer les objets décoratifs et les objets d'art. Cette différence est ancrée dans la fonctionnalité, l'intention, l'importance et le statut de l'œuvre. Elle est également liée à la production ou à la création de l'objet lui-même, et les objets d'art sont généralement de plus petite taille que les œuvres associées aux beaux-arts.
Les objets décoratifs sont généralement mobiles, car ils sont de petite taille. Contrairement aux œuvres d'art plus grandes, ces pièces peuvent être déplacées facilement d'un endroit à l'autre. Bien qu'ils soient de petite taille, ces objets attirent les regards et ajoutent de la personnalité, de l'esthétique et du style à tout espace.
