Biography
Clotilde.MJ is a visual artist who reinvents pop culture icons through striking visual stagings, between poetry, humor and raw emotion.
Trained in styling and audiovisual design, she has been developing a unique visual language for several years, nourished by her intact childlike perspective and her fascination for objects that span generations.
In each of her photographs, taken exclusively in real life without editing, she brings to life iconic characters that she places in exceptional locations – in France and abroad – to better blur the boundaries between reality and imagination.
His works explore a world where childhood and adulthood observe each other, confront each other, and meet.
It is a poetic, aesthetic, sometimes funny, sometimes melancholic… always profoundly human.
Behind each setting, a real work of research: certain figurines are rare, old, full of history, and become the messengers of a pulse of life that the artist breathes through the lens.
His works meet an international audience seduced by the narrative force, the offbeat aesthetic and the authenticity of his artistic approach.
