Born June 7, 1971 in Reunion. Lives in Neuilly and works in Paris and Neuilly.
Self-taught (professional since 2014 after a career in consulting).
There is always a beginning.
A grandfather (René-Marie Castaing), Grand Prix de Rome, whom I never knew. A need, one day, around the age of 25, to paint alongside my consulting work. An evidence. With the exception of ten evening classes at the Beaux-Arts with my friend François Mendras, I did not learn. Chaotic beginnings, made of trial and error, hesitations, errors. Mistakes that have built my work and build it every day. Important mistakes that made me evolve and enriched me. I've been looking for 20 years.
And since 2015, I have been painting to tell a story.
On May 11, 2011, a terrible noise arose that turned my life upside down. My world was turned upside down...suddenly because of tinnitus. I had never imagined that a noise could change my existence to this extent... Running was the only way I found to temporarily stop my noise. My painting was completely changed following a near-death experience in September 2015 after running the Mont Blanc Ultra Trail.
