Biography
Masaya, a French artist born in 1960, has been immersed in the artistic world since his earliest childhood. Within a family of artists, the path of creation naturally imposed itself on him. His first steps in the world of art led him to study fashion design and drawing. His job takes him around the world, offering him the opportunity to discover various metropolises and atmospheres, while collecting multiple visuals that enrich his artistic expression.
Combining classic painting with cutting-edge printing techniques, Masaya creates magical and colorful worlds. He skillfully combines acrylic paints, resins with metallic and iridescent effects, photographs and graphic creations.
His Neo Pop Art approach to cities is distinguished by the mixture of contemporary elements of metropolises, taking up the symbols of society from the 60s to the present day. For New York, he pays homage to artists such as Warhol and Basquiat. In London, he immerses himself in the punk atmosphere and trendy pubs, while in Tokyo, he highlights the marriage between the past and modernity.
Masaya gives his paintings a captivating singularity through his work, iridescent materials, transparencies, relief effects, knife touches, glass and mirror, each creation a unique work of art.
