Biography

Joanna Sierko – Filipowska, born in 1960 is a highly acclaimed Polish artist. A graduade of Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. Friend of Jerzy Duda – Gracz, whose remarks on her paintings she cherished and took very seriously.

Sierko invites us to a fable-like world, caulked from symbols and dreams. Beautiful landscapes fill the background of a figure in a manner of Mehoffer but with colder timbre. One does not have to search for beauty in her artworks – in is visible at a glance of an eye.
