The characters she creates speak of lived experiences and her emotions. Ultimately, they are alter egos into which she pours all her feelings.
Biography
Illustrator and ceramicist from the city of Vigo. She graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Vigo and trained in ceramics at EMAO.
Ceramics has opened up a world of aesthetic and creative possibilities for her to give form and volume to her creatures and characters. She feels the need to breathe life into objects, always seeking eyes to look into, which is why faces are so important in her work.
Her pieces maintain a romantic ideal of the natural world, fantastical, as if it were her own personal garden, and her characters conceal hints of humor and drama, always playing with ambiguity.
This ambivalence between mysticism and drama, between the monstrous and the beautiful, is very present throughout her personal project.
She has exhibited her work at JustMad, Hybrid Art Fair, O! Gallery in Porto, Crackids Lisbon, and Thinkspace Gallery in Los Angeles, among others, and collaborated with Zara on the Women in Art project.
