Biography
Esme was born in 1981. His artistic practice began with an attempt to regain the ability to write and communicate after a series of brain operations following a diagnosis of hydrocephalus. In order to complete his project, Mcleod had to regain control of his lost abilities. Thus, using her non-dominant hand, she created a series of upside-down drypoint plates, which gave rise to textual works in a style of presentation that allowed her to go beyond the limits of the body.
