Florence Lemiegre

A ceramic sculptor, Florence Lemiegre lives and works in Upper Normandy. She is a graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. For thirty years, the artist has been exploring clay and delighting in experimentation, particularly through raku. This ancestral glazing technique brings rich and deep textures and colors to her works.

Working in collections, major themes emerge in his creative approach with "Les Culbutos" and "Les Moons." The Moons form a rich flowerbed retracing the cycle of the seasons. His culbutos are a graphic and playful work of research on balance and imbalance.

Today, his works in earthenware and contemporary stoneware are presented in numerous galleries, biennials, exhibitions and contemporary art centers in France and abroad.

The artist received the Taylor Foundation Sculpture Prize in 2018. She has worked with Galerie Isabelle Laverny since 2005.
