"The machine has essentially accompanied man since the industrial era. First designed to help and free him, by extending his body and then his mind, the latter was part of the small and the great History, where their relationships have constantly evolved, because the machine, the fruit of human creativity, occupies a place alongside the man that is gradually blurring the boundaries between nature and artifice, between the creator and his creation.

From the founding myths to the most contemporary questions posed by the omnipresence of the machine in our daily lives, this exhibition explores the multiple representations that punctuate the common history of this couple. The JPHT Gallery invites you to discover the work of ten artists from different backgrounds, who cast their gaze and their thoughts on this theme."
