Dzia

Dzia is a Belgian artist, originally from Antwerp. His creations range from painting, sculpture and installation as well as urban art and murals. He is also the creator of the fanzine Krank. His animal paintings appear on the walls of many cities, depriving life in abandoned urban areas in Belgium but also throughout Europe. “From a young age, I have a great interest in art. My uncle was an artist and my whole family has always been very creative. This passion led me to do a master's degree in art at the Royal Academy of Antwerp. After I graduated, I really wanted to put my artwork on the walls. I focused on creating a truly unique graphic style, using abstract and geometric lines to put them into animal shapes. I've been painting walls for about two and a half years now. New ideas come to me all the time, so my work is very spontaneous - I paint quickly and in situ to make sure the original idea stays true to its form. "- Dzia
