Can painting be a path to happiness, just like philosophical or spiritual work?

It is in this tradition that the work of Luisa Fernanda Debarnot-Pineda is inscribed.

Born in Colombia, she studied painting and fine arts at the Universidad de los Andes before pursuing a painting restoration and conservation training at the Universidad Externado de Colombia.

It was with this solid technical background that she embarked on painting in the early 2000s in her native country, Colombia.

Naturally she draws her inspiration from the legends and mythical characters of her native land. Deities of nature and lush jungle are present in his early works marked by dense and vivid colors, as well as by a formal style characteristic of the School of the “Viennese Secession”.

His work was then the subject of exhibitions in Bogota in Colombia, Managua in Nicaragua, Miami and Dallas in the United States.

Little by little the line becomes free, the colors become more numerous, more contrasted and luminous, affixed by contrasting touches, just like the introduction of leaves or dried flowers as well as gold, silver or copper backgrounds in his paintings, make also a distant echo of Klimt's paintings.

Finally the untied line and the themes represented vibrate with the colors to offer canvases that reflect the intimate feelings of its author: the line of happiness ...
