Presentation

Having started painting at an early age, Ken Yang studied fine arts. He settled down in Paris almost twenty years ago. He is a member of the Artists' Society In France since 2004. Fascinated by the French and European artistic and aesthetic heritage, influenced by the great masters of the Renaissance, he excels in figurative art, still life, horse, landscape and miniature. A practitioner of traditional oil painting, he is a specialist in royal and prestige portraiture: portraits of Their Majesties the King and Queen of Malaysia as well as members of various royal houses of Malaysia; portraits of Jean-Paul Guerlain and other French and European personalities; as well as the portrait of the head of the House of France, H.R.H. Henri of Orleans, Count of Paris Duke of France...

In 2011, his Parisian exhibition and his atypical career attracted the media: Michel Field (RDV at the hotel on Europe 1), Olivier Bellamy (Classical Passion on Radio Classique), France 24 (French and English), etc.

In 2013, he is the youngest artist for whom a retrospective exhibition was dedicated to the National Art Gallery Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur (Oct. 2013 - Feb. 2014). This exhibition was, for the first time in the history of the country, inaugurated by His Majesty the King of Malaysia.

In 2017, he is the first and only painter selected by the International Cultural Heritage Fair, which was held under the Patronage of the President of the French Republic, at the Carrousel du Louvre, and who presented him as "Royal Portraitist", whereas his art had an undeniable heritage dimension.

For more than ten years, he stands out for his work on Leonardo Da Vinci's "sfumato" technique. He also takes courses in Byzantine iconography with the masters of this tradition. Prize of the Public of the 32nd Painters Show of Maisons-Laffitte, 2007.

His works are part of royal, public, institutional and private collections.
