Presentation

Estelle Hanania is a young French photographer, born in 1981.

Estella studied at the School of Fine Arts of Paris. Later on, she won a photo prize during the Hyères Festival, in 2006.The young artist used to take pictures of school rooms at first and she used to like printing her pictures in large colored formats.

Before beginning her professional photography career, Estelle Hanania worked at Ogilvy, where she learned to always give priority to and to promote creativity.

Soon, she decided to add to her personal work some commands of the National press, where she used a lyrical and refined style to print her images. Her photographs have two tendencies, they can be warm or cold, reassuring or disturbing. The masks or disguises are recurring topics that seem to support a fragile balance between a peaceful piece and a disturbing one.
