Presentation

In the constellation of Cygnus, 1400 light years from Earth, NASA's space telescope recently detected a telluric planet whose existence was confirmed by calculations that it orbited its sun at a distance that would make it habitable. It is on this exoterrestrial planet, called Kepler 452b, that Philippe Calandre has placed some of his latest architectural compositions. These are utopias: non-places, nowhere in the original sense of the term. And yet these chimeras proceed from fragments taken from reality.

A renowned author, Philippe Calandre has worked with Damien Hirst. His works have been exhibited at the FIAC and appear in numerous private and public collections, and recently in the Foundation of the architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte.
