Presentation

Born in 1955, Lucien Adami is a French artist who learned art from the painter Philippe Lejeune. This relationship led him to participate in the renovation of many French and European monuments.

Influenced by Félicien Rops and Clovis Funk's work, Lucien Adami started working with live models, more specifically with nude models. Women became the main subject of his works. He depicts every single detail, putting special attention to all the body's curves and highlighting them.

His works on canvas or paper give an impression of incompleteness, spontaneity and movement, which he achives through the use of pastel colors and the visibility of the pencil traces. Lucien Adami take us into the intimate world of women, without crossing the line of voyeurism.
