Born in 1973, Stéphane Blanquet has been active on the artistic scene since the end of the 1980s. His work extends to urban art, cinema, theater, independent publishing, artistic direction ... Very young, Blanquet became "one of the most typical and eminent graphzinists".


As an author of comics, in 2001 he published his graphic novel La nouvelle aux pis with Cornelius, followed by the publication of other works: Le Noir Seigneur, Bouquet Bonheur, Chochottes. In 2007, Cornelius published the graphic novel La Vénéneuse aux Deux Éperons, which was to be one of the winners of the Competition for the most beautiful French books. His books have been published in Japan, the USA, Spain, Italy, Brazil.


It was at the Comédie de Caen that Blanquet got involved in performing arts. He participates in the creation of plays and is involved in the production, the scenography, the creation of stage costumes and the writing. In 2010, the play How did I fit in there? is presented at the Avignon festival, at the Palais de Chaillot, at the Korean National Theater in Seoul and in several cities in Japan. In 2007, he relaunched his publishing house United Dead Artists.


Monographs, journals and objects under the United Dead Artists brand emerge. He has published the work of more than 200 artists
