Joseph Bayol

No need to ask Bayol what time it is, for this artist born under the Provence sun, there is always time to paint!
His head lost in the clouds of natural pigments, chalk powder, diaphanous inks, he never ceases to unite the canvas with his inspiration and Seyssaud, Gleizes no less than Chabaud were mistaken in recognizing him, when he was only fifteen, one of their own. 

Encouragement of such a caliber would have bent the most stubborn uncertainty and doubtless fed some people with some vanity, but Joseph Bayol, of rare humility, has no other vocation than to give himself body and soul in the pictorial adventure.
