Jean-Simon Raclot invites us to discover a series of paintings and drawings in predominantly acidic, “chlorophyliptic" hues teeming with intense and radiant touches giving a fantastic accent to all the proposals. Memories images, related to the painter's journey who experienced withdrawal and loneliness in order to bring us back these canvases imprinted with a soft fluorinated melancholy. At a time when climate change is at the heart of the news, this chromatic disorder offers a powerfully dreamlike filter evoking in turn other times, other places. Think of the landscapes of Alien by Ridley Scott, "Cobra verde", Green Hell, this jungle in the heart of darkness. The human prowls masked or out of line within this empty theater. Towards the greens as close as possible to a vertigo.
