Csilla Bondor is a Hungarian artist, born in 1979. She graduated from the Fine Arts University in Hungary in 2007, as a graphic artist. She works in a very personal ecological genre and combines sculptural elements, graphic art, painting and art object.
She cuts the borders of objects, shortened or deformed by the view, with adjusted plates, creating an illusion of space with painted shadows and well thought out light. She develops her original medium and her iconography based on the metaphorical sense of everyday objects and adds an optical illusory, which depends on the angle from where one perceives the object. The re-used plates aren't just material but also the medium of her works. She represents wood with wood, by scraping the surface, letting out mystical inner light from the depth of the material. She likes to work with nature and fate.
