Borys Makary is a young Polish photographer who graduated recently from the Poznan Academy of Fine Arts. In 2013 he was awarded the PX3 Prize, Fine Art category.
Borys Makary holds a Master of Arts in Visual Arts graduate from the Faculty of Multimedia Communications & Photography at the University of Arts, Poznan (Academy of Fine Arts). He learned fashion photography at the International Center of Photography in New York and personally through Miles Aldridge. He has assisted and collaborated with established New York City fashion photographer Richard Warren. He has lead workshops in the Academy of Photography in Warsaw and Krakow. He has run photography workshops at Photomonth in Krakow (2011) and Foto Art Festival in Bielsko-Bia?a (2011).
After studying turned to conceptual and creative photography commenting reality. His projects show his interest in human nature, especially the female one. Wants to catch and define femininity. Searching for interesting and intriguing methods of imaging as well as tries to find an innovative approach to photography as a medium and to presented topics.
