Artist Statement:

Primary work is in black and white oils on board. All paintings are originals with strong textures and patterns. These techniques are fused into western style modern oils that give depth and texture." Ironically the black and white paintings all have a color undertone. My formats are square, rectangular and frequently utilize diptychs, triptychs and polyptych for larger installations.

Education:

A lifelong student, appreciator and collector of the arts - Attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, University of Chicago and Sophia University in Tokyo - Studied independently with Japanese master artists.
