Bill Mitchell

For 25 years, Bill Mitchell was an American political cartoonist. His work has been broadcast nationally and has appeared in current affairs newspapers and magazines across the United States. In 1995, Mitchell quit the print media and became the first political cartoonist whose work was created and published exclusively on the Internet. He retired after 10 years as a political cartoonist for CNN.com. Today, he spends all of his time in his studio working on drawings, prints and paintings.

Mitchell's inspirations are endless: art, illustration, mass media, pop culture, news, history, music, books and more. Its process involves combining, editing, mixing, cutting, adding and subtracting images and marks over and over again until finally producing an image interesting enough to share.
