Presentation

Offering an explosion of bodies and forms in sparkling compositions, Chiron Duong moves the gaze towards a floating and vibrant world. Born in Vietnam in 1996, Dat Duong, his real name, studied architecture before becoming interested in fashion photography. Studying the connections between humans and nature, the young photographer transforms his models into dancing flowers and magnifies the traditional outfits of his native country. Through the use of different photographic techniques he suspends the graceful movement of fabrics over time while restoring the spirituality and meaning of áo dài clothing.

Winner of the Prix Picto de la Mode in 2020, Chiron Duong has since won the 37th Hyères festival and the PhotoVogue Festival in 2022. He has taken part in several collective exhibitions in Vietnam but also in a personal exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City in April 2022 where he presented his series Midnight in the Mangroves . His work was presented in Milan in September 2022 as part of the ImageNation Milan international photo exhibition.
