Galerie Gaïa is very honored to exhibit the visual artist work of a fellow gallery owner, Jean Branchet.
From 1975 to 2000, Jeannette and Jean Branchet exhibited major post-war artists at the Galerie Convergence in Nantes.
In 2023, they donated 46 works to the Musée d’Art de Nantes, a very eclectic collection, where abstractionists rub shoulders with figurative, expressionist and minimalist artists.
But before becoming a gallery owner, Jean Branchet was already passionate about art. After studying science, technology and economics, he became personally involved in a visual art work close to the constructivism of the MADI movement in the 1970s. From the 1990s, insatiable and curious, he also developed digital creations, the Dream Worlds. From 1995, he participated in international exhibitions as part of the Madi group (Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, etc.).
It is therefore the artist Jean Branchet, president of the friends of the Archipel group, that I invite you to discover alongside the paintings, tapestries and mosaic paintings of his friend Jorj Morin.
