Biography
Manel Marzo-Mart is Spanish artist born in 1944 who lives and works in Compradon near Girona in Catalonia.
Engraving became his favorite technique since very early in his artistic research. He perfected this practice by attending frequently the studio of J. Friendlander in Paris in 1970 and then dedicate to the teaching of engraving.
He opened his s own tudio in Basel, Switzerland in 1987 before coming back to Barcelona where he continued teaching. He continued experimenting with all the different techniques related to engraving, in a constant search for new methods to obtain original results.
He makes monumental sculptures as well, which are present in several cities in Catalonia.
His work has been exhibited in several museums in Spain, France and Switzerland.
