For his solo show at the Reservoir, Bault has created some twenty new works on the theme of freight, fishing, the sea. Closely concerned by environmental issues, the artist gives us a bitter sweet vision of the use of oceans. Boats with pantagruelic bellies rub shoulders with pirate ships and the flotilla of precarious boats made from scrap wood assembled and painted. For this exhibition, Bault experimented with new practices, particularly sculptural ones.
