In 2024, Mathilde Polidori will present a personal exhibition at the Edgar Mélik Museum in Cabriès. "For the personal exhibition dedicated to me by the Edgar Mélik Museum, I chose to present my work through the prism of seasonality. My works are deeply influenced by the passing of the seasons. The colors impose themselves on my canvases like temporal markers. Each of the four rooms of the Museum presents works that I associate with the same season, with the same dreamed time, as if suspended by the force of pigments. The very hot summer tints my faces with pink, yellow and orange , the cold winter is dominated by blue, sand and white tones. The reassuring and sensual autumn offers a more contrasting and tawny palette. Finally, Spring, like a soft and sweet dream, nourishes us with pastel tones that invite us to appeasement."
