Valérie Piquard

Because the world is sometimes complicated, I decided to paint it differently.

I've been painting regularly for 20 years. I started at school, where the studio was always open.  

My painting is based on an imagination turned towards travel, poetry and dreams.

I use a variety of materials: chalk, ink, acrylic, etc. and techniques (transfers, collages, etc.). My research constantly pushes me towards new, more graphic avenues driven by movement and energy.

Colours and materials are at the heart of my work. My paintings are often exhibited in pairs, responding to each other and evoking poetry and dreams. I've been a member of the Courants d'Arts association since 2005 and of the Collectif Féminin Pluriel since it was founded in 2016.

I've been exhibiting for several years at various shows (Salon d'Automne, Société des Artistes du Val de Marne -SAVM-, Courants d'Art, Saint Maurice, Arami, Artec...).
