Ans Pullens

Full of passion, Ans works as a full-time visual artist, creating work in ceramics, glass and mosaic. For her, the challenge lies in new techniques and forms.

For her, the surprising thing about clay lies in its many possibilities, both in form and appearance. This makes the material fascinating and also challenges her to create other works of art than usual.

Examples are the "Ceramic Paintings", 3D sculptural paintings in porcelain and other materials. Here you can see a play of light and shadow, created by the way the elements are laid out. With the change of light throughout the day, the work changes constantly, keeping it captivating. Elements of ceramic are shaped by hand and therefore all different. Due to the different positions in which they are attached, the incidence of light and the position from which you look at the work, there seem to be nuance differences in colour.

Ans gets her inspiration from everywhere by looking differently at everyday things or making an enlargement of a simple object, crop, animal or human being. All her works are unique and can also be custom-made.
