Established in Megève for more than 25 years, Au Soli Gallery-Atelier is an intimate alpine oasis designed for all lovers of beautiful objects.

The origins of the address can be traced to 1923. The place has remained family-owned but the workshop specializing in woodworking has since been enriched by a gallery offering the artwork of well-known artists and emerging talents. Paintings and artifacts curated through encounters and coincidences are made exclusively for the gallery or carefully selected by its passionate owner to weave a dialogue with collectors and curious aesthetes.

The shade of ancient woodwork, offering a second life to the rare species of the surrounding mountains ranges, complements the birch forests of Russian painter Larissa Mayorova and the grisailles of the discreet Berg rubbing shoulders with delicious objects of curiosity. Svetlana Arefier’s paintings, whose brush seems to record the passage of time, resonate more strongly in this place where objects adorned with a unique patina become artworks.

Like the elegant ski resort of which it has become an essential destination, the Au Soli Gallery-Atelier manages to match original rusticity and sophistication. This delicate alchemy, relying as much on the seasoned eye of its host as on the imagination guiding its intuitions, allows the address to offer a selection of works with plural artistic writings. The paintings are obviously in the spotlight: dreamlike landscapes and naive scenes inspired by Russian icons, pop art canvases or original animal engravings on gold leaf (23.6 carats), an exclusive technique of the artist Jean-Philippe Rigotti. The selection, precise and eclectic, does not forget the other mediums as the sculptor Marie Thys showcases her famous bronze animals.
