Drawing Space is a reflection on the double identity of drawing in art, studied here by exploring the poetry of seven contemporary artists: Anna Stella Zucconi, Daniele Steardo, Fabian Albertini, Fabrizio Saracino, Gabriele Dal Dosso, Ozmo and Saul.
The European academic tradition, rooted in Renaissance theories, identifies painting and sculpture as the major arts. According to this vision, drawing is of paramount importance but, at the same time, is relegated to a functional role. The lines drawn by the artist's hand are the first materialization of his ideas and represent the link between thoughts and reality.
A flow of artistic gestures complexifies this first image which becomes a work when volume, light, texture and color are added to the drawing.
The drawing represents the clear conception of a project because it reflects the qualities of accuracy defined by Italo Calvino in his Six Memos for the Next Millennium: precise project, detailed description and clear language.
The qualities of accuracy are the common thread of the exhibition, linking drawing to sculpture and guiding us through the creative process of the seven artists.

In Drawing Space, the selected paintings emphasize the expressive power of the graphic sign, which becomes a metaphor for precision.
The identity of the work is not defined by the nature of the medium or the support but by the development of a project. In the paintings by Ozmo, Daniele Steardo and Anna Stella Zucconi, line drawing and its dissolution are a powerful means of expression, as are the outlines drawn by Botticelli that encourage the viewer to distinguish between the abstraction of ideas and the materiality of reality. The images are full of symbols and the composition participates in the narrative. The sculptures are the synthesis of three multi-layered projects that explore respectively the link between geometry and raw material for Fabian Albertini, the challenge of representing mathematical models in space for Gabriele Dal Dosso, the materialization of gestures for Saul and the reinvention of Latin for contemporary communication for Fabrizio Saracino.
