Naim Boukir

Born in 1987, passionate about drawing since childhood, Naim's only goal is to pursue his passion. He went through the School of Fine Arts in Algiers and the School of Visual Arts in Marrakech. Currently his interest is oriented more towards drawing, he has his own technique, marked by detail and overload, maximum and minimum, bringing together opposites. His universe is dreamlike, phantasmagorical, funny and sometimes nightmarish. His work is akin to surrealism in form but in essence the artist never creates a universe, he describes his own, in his own way. In ink, in pen or by any medium used to write, he expresses himself directly on his paper, without thinking, without sketches, like a child, he begins his work directly in ink, a way for him to merge his two passions, namely drawing and writing.
