Romina Salem Taborda

Born in 1972 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Lives and works in Buenos Aires. Graduated from the National School of Bellas Artes Prilidiano Pueyrredón in Buenos Aires. She works as a teacher in underprivileged environments such as the El Otro Foundation, Villa La Cava, and the psychiatric ward of the Piñeiro Hospital. as well as at the National University of the Arts. She followed work analysis workshops with Diana Aisenberg and Tomas Espina. In 2008, along with Nicola Constantino, she received a sculpture grant from the Borges Cultural Center. Since 2009 she has been running the painting workshop for people with different abilities at Espacio Talleres Roberto Fontanarrosa, Buenos Aires. She works in painting on the concept of the garden and of light, under the influence of the Japanese idea of aware, which finds in the garden the ephemeral character of existence. She composes poetics that draw a parallel between life and the idea of the garden, like a place with a thousand faces that expresses the idea of permanence.
